5 things to know about Black Panther

Black Panther (2018) served us an all black cast, with African regalia, power and honour. To top it off Black Panther made history by generating over $1.3 billion in worldwide box office sales and made cinematic history by becoming the first Superhero film to be nominated for the prestigious Academy award for Best Picture. 1. Black Panthers first appearance was in Fantastic Four #52 in July/ August 1966.

2. The concept of Black Panther was an amalgamation of King Mansa Musa, Marcus Garvey and Ham & Canaan from the Bible.

3. Black Panther was briefly married to Storm from the X-Men.

4. Black Panther became a member of the Illuminati.

5. For a moment Black Panther was renamed Black Leopard. This was to differentiate The character Black Panther from the political organisation Black Panther Party. The name change didn’t last long, and the Black Leopard became the Black Panther again.
